Falmouth is a better uni than Exeter, new league tables claim

At least we’ll always be better than Plymouth

Exeter has come a lowly 40th out of 115 unis in a new league table showing the best universities in the country based on the opinions of actual students.

The rankings are based on around 20,000 student reviews on clubs and societies, city life, accommodation, job prospects, courses and lecturers, facilities, students’ union, support and international, with the number one spot going to Loughborough.

Even more embarrassing than losing out once again to our rivals, Falmouth uni is ranked all the way in 5th place, a huge 35 places ahead of us.

We hate ourselves

If you haven’t already heard of it, Falmouth is the uni which specialises in arts and media courses, and whose freshers share accommodation with our own Cornwall campus students.

Maybe they should ditch Zoology and take on Media Studies to have a better student experience?

The Whatuni rankings also show we rate ourselves lower than our other South West competition, Bristol and Bath, who place 32nd and 8th respectively.

At least we’ve ranked higher than Plymouth, but don’t get too smug – they’re only eight places below Exeter.

Well this is embarrassing

English second year Corrie Gold is devastated by the news.

She said: “The fact we’ve been beaten by the rest of the South West is embarrassing, but I don’t know how we can recover from the shame of being ranked below Falmouth.

“Surely we should be able to beat somewhere which specialises in mining and surfing?”
