After hundreds of nominations, thousands of votes and five heats boasting the cream of Exeter’s crop, the search for Exeter’s biggest BNOC of 2020 has reached an end.
One campus celebrity has fought off the competition to become the ultimate BNOC of all BNOCs – a title that only sheer popularity can buy.
Without further ado, meet your BNOC 2020 winner:
Johnny Fisher
The third year history student from Essex was nominated because “he’s just an absolute BNOC really,” and in true BNOC style, he has over 4000 followers on Instagram. We asked the super heavyweight boxer some questions about his latest – and undoubtedly best – win yet.
How does it feel to be crowned Exeter’s biggest BNOC of 2020?
“Had a great three years down at Exeter and met some amazing friends, winning this will bring honour to my hometown of Romford.”
How will you be celebrating?
“Bath, scented candles, cheeseboard, Taylor Swift.”
What’s your secret to BNOC success?

Do you have any advice for future BNOCs?
“‘Life. Some days you’re the statue, and other days you’re the pigeon’ – David Brent.”
What are you going to do with your newfound fame?
“Take my meat business, JWF Food Delivery, to the next level.”
Voting closed after 24 hours and Johnny was officially crowned Exeter’s biggest BNOC of 2020, with Liv Buckley coming in second place and Harry Mason in third.
Johnny won by a considerable margin with over 700 votes. Runner-up Liv received a very respectable 450 votes, with Harry Mason taking the bronze with over 300 votes.
When asked how she felt about being Exeter’s second-biggest BNOC, Liv said: “Just grateful I didn’t have to share it on a meme page to get the votes ;).”
Harry told us: “next year is my year for sure.”
