Tension builds as teams prepare for next week’s Varsity
Catherine ReidLess than a week to go until UoL and JMU battle it out Varsity style.
Tension is hotting up with less than a week to go before the two unis clash in one of the sporting rivalries of the year.
Next Wednesday will see numerous sports teams take each other on as the fight for the title of Champion continues.
Last year, UoL reasserted their superiority over JMU as they took the Varsity crown.
And it seems UoL might be in for a chance after several huge league wins this year.
LUWRC came top of their league, along with Men’s Lacrosse and Men’s first Badminton, who remain undefeated.
Can LUWRU win their Varsity too?
But will it be celebrations or comiserations this year for the sports teams of UoL?
A bonus AU night has been organised to mark the occassion, with tickets available at a discount price of £2. Celebrations begin at Revs from 10pm onwards.
Hopefully no one will be feeling blue at the ‘blue’ themed Varsity AU
This really will be the last AU of the year, so expect a potent mix of testosterone, adrenaline and alcohol.
