It’s A Sell-Out! AU Tickets Going Like Hot Cakes

Last month’s AU has left everyone wanting more, and despite Aura’s enormous capacity, tickets are set to sell out yet again for next week’s AU.

The event, which will be hosted by Walkabout from 9pm-11pm and then at Aura from 10.30pm onwards, will once again bring together the uni’s sporting rivals for a sensible night on the VKs.

Last month’s fancy dress winners, Netball, are eagerly anticipating their VIP package, including a VIP table in Aura, a bottle of bubbly and two bottles of vodka and mixers.

And if this wasn’t enough, December’s AU will see the girls off with a bumper drinks package in Walkabout.

The runners up, Women’s Lacrosse and Women’s Rugby League, will also get a VIP table upstairs in Aura with a view over the dancefloor… the perfect sharking spot.

So forget the mission of a walk from Walkabout to Aura (there’s always a Delta), the only way to get your team in with a chance of all that free booze – and who doesn’t love free stuff? – is to hit up Walkabout first.

Last month, The Tab heard reports of people getting rather lost in the mammoth that is Aura.

The move from the smaller Revs, where AU has been held for the past two years, to the superclub Aura has clearly disorientated many students, and all that circling is definitely no good with god knows how many litres of alcohol sitting on your belly.

This time round, be sure to check out Room 2 with UoL’s very own Dance Music Society DJ George Bartlett.

Room 2 is just left of the stage. Hopefully some people will turn up so it doesn’t look so empty.

Tab Tip: There’s also a very nice, long bar here to save you queuing at the main one.  And if you couldn’t find the smoking area, it’s upstairs (along with some more toilets that surprisingly few of you found last time).

Some very nice stairs which will lead you to the smoking area for that all important fag.

Tickets are on sale NOW from the sports centre for just £4.  AU will be on Wednesday November 4.
