Two men are in hospital after Bold Street stabbing this morning

There were reports of a ‘bloodied rag’ left on the street


The top of Bold Street was cordoned off after two men, both aged 26, were assaulted in the early hours of this morning.

The shops within the cordon include Cafe Tabac and Chinese supermarket, SIDA.

Emergency services arrived at the scene at 5:15am responding to reports that one man had suffered a stab wound to the stomach and another had received a head injury.

Both men were taken to hospital and are in a stable condition.

Police vans and forensics officers have been investigating at the scene opposite the Bombed Out Church this morning.
