The Baltic Triangle named coolest place to live in the UK

We beat Ancoats in Manchester

Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle and North Docks have been named the coolest place to live in the UK today by The Times, beating Manchester’s Ancoats area which came second.

The Times cited the thriving ‘arts and party scene’ of the Baltic as earning it the top spot, claiming that its repopulated abandoned warehouses, tech start-ups, burlesque shows and pop-up nightclubs made it the ‘trendiest property hotspot’ in the country. The Invisible Wind Factory was name dropped as started the regeneration of the north docks.

There was no mention of the declining nightlife of the city or of controversial plans to build apartments right next to famous music venue 24 Kitchen Street in the ratings.
