The Guild have announced #GuildWish and Christmas event dates
Events include Big Quiz: Christmas edition and a Guild Christmas Day
Zoe RichardsonThe Guild have launched a Christmas events page on the website including the Whitechapel Centre Christmas appeal, online shop offers and a list of events taking place on and off of campus over Christmas.
The Guild also announced that their annual #GuildWish scheme is taking place again this Christmas – a simple tweet could clinch that Christmas treat. The “Guild elves” will be taking over @LiverpoolGuild from the 1st to the 8th December.
All you have to do is tweet @LiverpoolGuild what you’d like for Christmas using #GuildWish, wishes will be chosen at random each and every day! The #GuildWish is only for University of Liverpool students, you can only win once, and no… you can’t wish for more wishes. You can find the rest of the rules here.
In 2016 the Guild elves granted 63 wishes including 20 bottles of washing up liquid, a coffee maker, a Danny Devito cut out stand and two Busted tickets. You can see the full list of wishes granted in 2016 here.
The events being held are:
- 25/11/17: Christmas markets: Bakewell, peak distract
- 27/11/17: Christmas lights switch on
- 5/12/17: Vegan Christmas chocolate making
- 6/12/17: Whitechapel Centre christmas elf volunteering session
- 7/12/17: Big quiz: Christmas edition
- 8/12/17: Guild Christmas Day
- 9/12/17: Christmas shopping spree: Cheshire Oaks
- 11/12/17: Starbucks Christmas aroma lab
