Manchester is the third most popular uni for freshers
They’ve got good taste clearly
The TabManchester university is the third most popular choice for freshers in 2016.
WhatUni.com compiled the data of 8,000 students who voted their top five unis in order of preference.
Manchester came just after Leeds at number two and Loughborough who came in at first place.
This comes soon after we were voted the third best student city in the QS rankings.
The top ten first choice universities for 2016 were:
- Loughborough University
- University of Leeds
- University of Manchester
- University of Nottingham
- University of Surrey
- King’s College London, University of London
- University of Edinburgh
- Cardiff University
- University of Birmingham
- University of Oxford
For people already at Manchester, this doesn’t come as a shock. Third year Laura said: “Obviously Manc is number three choice for freshers.
“Actually, I’m surprised its not number one. We literally have everything and more. And the night life is banging, who wouldn’t want to come here?”
