Manchester has gone up three places in the Complete Uni Guide rankings
We beat Newcastle, Sheffield and Liverpool
2017’s Complete University Guide rankings have been released and as always Manchester did not disappoint.
The University of Manchester ranked 25th out of 127 universities, climbing three places from last year.
Manchester Metropolitan ranked 57th, climbing an impressive 16 places making them the highest climbers of 2017.
Other notable climbers were Edge Hill, Liverpool Hope and Middlesex.
The rankings are based on the following factors:
- Student Satisfaction
- Research Quality
- Research Intensity
- Entry Standards
- Student: Staff Ratio
- Spending on Academic Services
- Spending on Student Facilities
- Good Honours degrees achieved
- Graduate Prospects and Completion
And of course, Manchester did fab.
Dr Bernard Kingston, principal author of TheCompleteUniversityGuide.co.uk, said: “There is a considerable degree of stability at the upper end of the league table this year. While dramatic changes may be newsworthy, this stability indicates that the rankings are robust and credible for young people seeking a university place – our primary purpose.”
The top five universities remained unchanged, as Cambridge topped the charts yet again.
