Halloween is upon us, mere mortals, so prepare to have your life blood sucked out of you as almost every club in Manchester seeks to draw you in to their ‘spooky’ events. By the time Tuesday morning rolls around you’ll more than likely look like a zombie. We’ve compiled a list of some of the biggest Halloween nights in Manchester, running from Thursday night to the big day itself.

Thursday 27th

Soirée x Mad Hatter’s – Night of the Killer Clowns at South 

Clown sightings may be starting to die down, but you can expect to see a lot of them at South tonight. The Soirée team have joined up with Mad Hatter’s for this event, so prepare yourself for plenty of Halloween hats along with confetti canons, clowns and inflatables.

Pinup Zombie Takeover at Lola Lo

If Deansgate is more your style, zombies will be taking over Lola Lo’s tonight. The event offers “treats and sweets” to take you back to the good old days of trick or treating.

Friday 28th

Bad Fun: A Nightmare on B.EAT Street

Bad Fun takes over B.EAT Street’s new home for a night of house, disco and old school. With some of the best street food traders in Manchester and a selection of ‘deadly disco drinks’, this offers something different from your standard haunted house club night.

Day of the Dead Halloween Special at Dive 

With Dive’s Day of the Dead special running until 5am, this is the perfect option if you want to get freaky until the early hours of the morning. The event offers ‘surprise entertainment’ and special cocktails for an early Halloween celebration.

Saturday 29th

Illuminaughty Presents Day of the Dead at Bowler’s Exhibition Centre

Events company Illuminaughty have went all out for their Day of the Dead special with five different arenas, ‘The Temple’, ‘Purgatory’, ‘The Mortuary’, ‘Silk Road’ and ‘Forbidden Jungle’. The event runs until 5am and if that isn’t enough for you, they are also hosting an after party until 9am. You won’t even need fancy dress to look like a zombie if you make it through the full night.

Halloween at Hidden

Hidden’s Halloween lineup features a 3 hour set from Rhadoo, and promises to be a popular night which will go on well into the early hours of the morning.

Charlie and the Cocktail Factory at The Pen and Pencil

With free entry all night long, ‘Charlie and the Cocktail Factory’ is a cheaper option for Saturday night than events at Hidden and Bowler’s. The event promises funky house until the early hours with a selection of Willy Wonka inspired cocktails – yes, you can get a gobstopper for that mate that never shuts up.

Zombie Apocalypse at Hula Tiki

Expect more zombies this Saturday at Hula Tiki, with this event running from 5pm to 2am. There’s an incentive to go all out with your fancy dress too; the best dressed wins a bottle of ‘Zombie mix’.

Sunday 30th

The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Antwerp Mansion

Part of Antwerp’s 7th birthday celebrations, the mansion will be hosting a free screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show complete with newspapers, rice, and with people encouraged to bring their own water pistols. They will have popcorn behind the bar and blankets are advised for the showing of the film.

Monday 31st

Apocalypse Festival at the Students Union

The SU is putting on an impressive show this Halloween, with 4 different apocalyptic cities to visit. Set in 2082, the sole survivors are zombies (of course, more zombies), Boris Johnson and Manchester students. The venues on offer are Berlin, complete with zombie techno hipsters and ‘ghost bouncers’ of Berghain, London and the ghosts of grime past, Tokyo and ghoulish geisha girls, and a wedding chapel-themed Las Vegas.

How everyone looks going to a 9am

The Big Lez Show Halloween Party at Koh Tao

Koh Tao is getting a Halloween makeover, Big Lez Show style this Monday. Expect a night of endless house and mashup at Fallowfield’s best basement venue, and a variety of themed drinks on offer. There are prizes for the best Big Lez Show costume, so if you’re a fan of the show or getting freaky at Koh Tao this is not an event to miss.

Hit and Run Halloween Spooktacular at Mint Lounge

The Mint Lounge will host Spooky, Chimpo & Killa P for it’s Halloween special. Get ready for a night of heavy grime in one of the Northern Quarter’s best venues.

Also hosting events on the 31st are Sankeys Halloween PARTYHaunted House Party at the Deaf Institute, and you can truly scare yourself by going on a bar crawl with Gaz of Geordie Shore fame at The Printworks.
