WTF: Slogan Tees

I understand fully that we’re in an age where we’d rather write things to each other than communicate verbally, but do we really need to include that in the way we dress?

It reminds me of the cafeteria in Mean Girls. Everyone separated in to the cliche categories; ‘geeks’, ‘jocks’, ‘preps’, ‘girls who eat their feelings’ and ‘desperate wannabees’.

However in this parallel universe it’s all backwards. Because the girls who wear ‘geek’ t-shirts really were the most sexually active in school, and the men wearing the phrase ‘shit happens’ are actually the most pessimistic people around.

It’s all a mind boggling roller coaster. How about just not wear them at all?

And then you have fully grown women proclaiming that they are ‘hot to trot‘ or ‘Little Miss Naughty’. That’s definitely going help you in your final years of finding a man and settle down into a really serious relationship.

L.A… that’s in Miami yeah?

What amuses me most is the fact that people come up with these and think that they are good enough to be written on a t-shirt. ‘I’m not lazy, i just don’t give a shit’ … yes, Shakespeare would be impressed with that wordplay.

Now I’m not tarnishing all slogan t-shirts, just the ones that reflect badly on the wearer… because let’s face it, people will always judge you by what you wear, so don’t spell out the reasons why they should on your t-shirt.
