Northumbria drops to 31st in student experience survey

It could be worse, Sunderland didn’t even make the cut

The Times Higher Education student experience survey has come back and the results aren’t overly promising for Northumbria.

We’ve been ranked 31st for overall student experience and have a score of 78 per cent.

The average mark across the 113 unis surveyed was 74.7 per cent — so at least we’re above average.

We ranked 6th for having cheap amenities like the union and 10th for our sports facilities.

But despite these impressive figures we came 31st, jointly tied with Nottingham Trent. The uni has dropped ten places since the 2013 survey.

The best unis were Bath, Loughborough and Sheffield who all scooped over 83 per cent.

Meanwhile rivals at Newcastle came in at 10th with an overall score of 81.6 per cent, moving up six places and beating us across the board.

At least we won Stan Calvert this year though.
