Everything you need to know about clubbing in Norwich
The definitive guide
Freshers has been and gone. Now as newbies you're now going to have to face the big bad world of clubbing in Norwich on the average week or maybe your a seasoned vet looking for something new. Fear not, we've compiled a list of what's happening in Norwich on every day of the week.
MONDAY – FRESH @ BAR AND BEYOND
One of the new club nights Norwich is offering this year is Fresh at Bar and Beyond. The official UEA and NUA students night promises to be "Norwich's very own hip hop house party in a club" playing some classic hip hop anthems, R&B jams and grime bangers.
TUESDAY – DAMN GOOD @ THE LCR
Possibly the most classic of all the classic nights out, you know what you're going to get stumbling into the LCR on a Tuesday dressed up as Harry Potter.
The weekly Damn Good is a staple for any freshers first year, but make the most of it because that's probably going to change when you need to get over 40%.
Even with the cheesy tunes and Mr Brightside playing on what feels like repeat, Damn Good is always going to hold a special place in UEA student's hearts.
WEDNESDAY – SPORTS NIGHT @ BLUE BAR
If you're on a sports team, guaranteed this is where you'll be seen every Wednesday, celebrating, or (rarely) commemorating your match.
Starting at 8pm and now finishing at 2am the revamped sports night promises to be a big one.
Wether you're on a team or not, you can get down to have a boogie and show your support.
THURSDAY – AFTERDARK @ MANTRA
If you want to get dressed up, put a pair of heels on and pay £7 for a double vodka mixer AfterDark at Mantra is the place to be. It's no longer the official student night out but is still jam packed with tons of UEA students.
GET LOOSE @ KARMA
Another new club night this year is Get Loose. Run by the guys who were responsible for Signal at The Crypt last year, this is one not to miss.
Offering three floors of grime, hip hop, UK funky and some 80s party classics, there's something for everyone.
UNION THURSDAYS @ MERCY
The second official student night for UEA and NUA students is the Thursday night at Mercy.
Every week there's something different going on, from Foam Parties, to appearances from Bugzy Malone.
FRIDAY – PROPAGANDA @ THE WATERFRONT
The only place to be if you love a little mosh pit and head bang to some classic indie tunes is Propaganda.
Situated in The Waterfront, where all the toilets get blocked up at about 1am, this Friday night is one not to miss if you want to reminisce about your old music taste and how much you loved Reading Festival when you were sixteen years old.
SATURDAY – THE A-LIST @ THE LCR
The ONLY place to be on a Saturday night is the LCR. It's got everything you'll ever need. Cheesy hits upstairs, dirty bangers downstairs, tons of VKs and even a fries van to meet you outside ready to satisfy your drunk hunger.
LCR is love, LCR is life.
