Is this or is this not the grimmest flat at UEA?
Imagine if you lived here lol
A UEA student's sister has published several tweets containing videos which show an alleged UEA halls of residence in utter mayhem.
Dismantled furniture, smashed plates and broken eggs all feature in the series of videos, making it possibly the grimmest flat to live in on campus.
Em, the sister who has uploaded the videos, claims the mess is the "aftermath" of what looks like a pretty outrageous party. Despite making "multiple complaints" to the university, UEA's estates team have allegedly done nothing to stop the kitchen from getting wrecked.
Seriously what is this cos I'm confused
The first video shows what looks like pieces of paper, or massive tea bags, and smashed plates on the floor, grim broken egg yolks on the kitchen counter, and general pandemonium in the corner of the room where tables and chairs have been thrown in the corner.
Where do we sit now tho 🙁
The second video in the string of tweets shows a pissed off looking person doing the worst cleaning job in existence, where instead of putting things away or in a bin like a normal person, she decides to throw everything on the floor.
At one point, someone else (maybe the same person??) starts cleaning the hobs with a brush, which again feels relatively useless.
Ooooookay then
The final part of the trailer for the worst flat in Norwich sees someone try and break into a locker. Maybe it's his and he's lost his key, maybe he's being a prick and trying to break into someone else's. Either way, he looks aggro.
The UEA sister angrily stated: "This is not what a uni experience should be, these people have no respect for the property of others or their flat."
The university did respond to Em's original tweet after her alleging they were yet to act, describing the videos as "unacceptable behaviour".
A univeristy spokesperson told the Tab Norwich; “The university takes criminal damage to its halls of residence very seriously and after it was made aware of this incident, it immediately undertook an investigation.
“Two of the residents of the flat responsible for the incident have been issued with a notice to quit and have been moved to alternative accommodation to serve their 28 day notice period.
“Another student, who is resident elsewhere on campus has been banned from accessing the halls and will be meeting with UEA’s Accommodation services and Student Support Services to determine their suitability to remain in residences.
“The students affected have been supported by the Accommodation Office to either find alternative suitable accommodation on campus, should they wish to move, or remain in their current residence which is now without those responsible.
“The university’s Warden Team have been briefed with regards to the investigation and will continue to monitor the situation.”
