LSE is the 12th best university in the UK

We beat both UCL and King’s

LSE has been ranked the 12th best university in the UK.

In the Guardian university league tables published today, we beat the likes of UCL and King’s to a place in the top 15.

Cambridge and Oxford took the top spots, although we were also surprisingly beaten by the likes of Bath, Surrey and Loughborough.

The ranking marks a one point increase on last year’s 13th place – although Imperial took the crown of top London uni in seventh place.

Rounding out the top 10 were Lancaster, Warwick and Bath, with Exeter in 11th.

UCL was relegated to a lowly 14th, but it could have been worse – King’s placed an eye-watering 42nd.
