Estate agents make right hash of property ad

In possibly one of the best promo gaffes ever to blight the West Country, a Bristol house has been advertised online with a picture of what appears to be a dilapidated cannabis farm.
A two bedroom property in Easton, described by the site as “in need of refurbishment”, was put on sale for £130,000 on the Rightmove website with one of the accompanying pictures showing the remains of assorted dodgy-looking drug-making equipment.
Well-lit and containing a number of extractor fans, pots of soil and loose plugs, it would surely have made an ideal home for numerous Bristol students. Sadly, it was quickly snapped up by police.
Coppers told the Bristol Post that they’d investigated the house back in July after reports of a weed farm surfaced. When they arrived they dismantled the equipment they found, but made no arrests.
The offending photo has since been removed by the estate agent and, in news that will no doubt disappoint a number of budding entrepreneurs, Rightmove has categorically stated that the drug den will not be included with the property.
