Why girls have it so much worse on a night out
Snehal Shah believes Will Disney was wrong in saying guys have it tougher on a night out
Will Disney reckons clubbing is difficult for boys. But all his points have one clear goal in mind: getting a girl into bed. And I find that pretty offensive.
This is the classic predatory attitude that makes clubbing so, so much worse for girls. While guys like that are busy working their creep streak to get into someone’s knickers, girls are pleading for the freedom to go out without getting harassed.
Cost
Apparently Will feels obliged to buy girls drinks “inorder to keep the flirtatious conversation going.” Er, newsflash: if you think a £3 jaegerbomb will get a girl into bed, you’re probably so stupid you can’t tell the difference between your prick and your nose.
NOT an appealing offer.
Appearance
Guys are worried about looking hot enough to go home with a 9? We’re tiptoeing down the fine line between dressing up and being called a slut.
People seem to think we go out dressed like this
First Move
Well this just sounds dodgy. I don’t care what the “status quo” is about guys hitting on girls, it’s just plain creepy. It looks like you’re using this so-called trend as an excuse to basically treat girls like public property that you can win.

Dancing
Alright, MAYBE girls enjoy dancing (read: feel less embarrassed) a teeny bit more than guys. We can probably get away with wiggling our hips and bouncing around and you probably can’t. But seriously, if you don’t like dancing, what the hell are you doing in a club? And if you do, I invite you to try dancing in heels for 3 hours.
The bottom line is, attitudes like that are exactly why clubs are such dodgy and dangerous places for girls. We should be able to go out without fearing men who don’t know where their hands belong. Will’s article is basically the equivalent of “I punched a guy for no reason and I broke my fingernail. Life is so unfair for me!”
