Last Friday a huge brawl took place on the Clifton Triangle that involved over 15 people. Chairs and barriers were thrown and four people were stabbed at around 4:30am before Police and Paramedics rushed to the scene.
The Tab were the first to report on the incident which has since appeared in various national publications.
Unconfirmed reports from a paramedic who was on the scene claim that that the incident involved a gang from Birmingham and a gang from London who were facing off for an unknown reason. One of the wounded who had to be rushed to hospital had “been stabbed over 17 times.”
This video of the incident has shocked viewers on social media.
Prasan Kohli, the 22-year-old University of Bristol student who took the video told us his story: “I’m not sure what started it but within seconds it seemed like all hell had broken loose. It was shocking. There was a big scream and the next thing I knew there were chairs and barriers flying everywhere.
“There was one guy lying on the floor unconscious, another with blood streaming from his nose, it was a terrifying scene. There’s not usually too much trouble in Bristol so it was a really shocking incident and people were really shaken up.”
Avon and Somerset Constabulary have since revealed that two men were arrested “on suspicion of affray”.
They have been released on bail until 19 April.
