The Last Dance Ball looks set to be the biggest event in the UoB summer calendar

It replaces the annual Founders’ Ball

For years, Founders' Ball has been the biggest budgeted and most attended engagement in the Bristol University social calendar.

Now under the new aegis of 'The Last Dance' the organisers of last year's event are bringing it back this June, with the theme of 'Once Upon a Time' transporting guests into the world of a Brother’s Grimm fairytale. Jointly hosted by Wills and Badock, the night is shaping up to be a highlight of the year.

Beginning at 5:45pm for meal ticket holders, there will be a pre dinner drinks reception followed by a lavish gastronomic experience. Afterwards there follows no less than eight hours worth of music, including live bands, DJs and Itchy Feet returning after last year's success.

There will be a fireworks display to light up the quadrangles of Wills with a ferris wheel, bumper cars, food vans, photo booth, professional photographer and a Snapchat filter as well. The entertainment is set to conclude with a silent disco as the night winds down to a close at 3am.

The Last Dance Ball committee encourages any student not yet with a ticket to invest in one, and join an expected 1000 students in celebrating the close of the year in true style.
