Another Body Found in Cam

The fourth body in under a year has been taken from the river – though police affirm there is “absolutely no link” between the events.

Another body was found in the Cam this morning by police.

Just 11 days after a rower found a body near Midsummer Common, Cambridge cops received a call at 11:15 this morning about in connection with a body reported in Ditton Meadows.

It has yet to be identified.

Inspector Kate Scott, leading the case, told The Tab that ‘the death is unexplained,’ but at the moment it is still a matter of coroner’s inquest.

Although this is the second body found in the Cam in under a fortnight, Inspector Scott affirmed that ‘there was absolutely no link between the two.’

Ditton Meadows: where the body was found

This case marks the fourth death in the river in under a year, after an Anglia Ruskin lecturer was found last November, and a homeless man last May Week.
