TABTV: We asked Cambridge Students what they thought about Julian Assange

The results were depressing

If you hadn’t heard, this club called The Cambridge Union recently caused a stir by announcing a referendum – to be held on the 22nd of October – about whether or not they should interview this bloke called Julian Assange via videolink.

To everyone’s surprise, the issue became controversial. Charlie Chorley, the CUSU Women’s Officer, said the bloke shouldn’t have been invited. Some people said things about free speech – and bananas, apparently.

So we took our camera to the streets to find out what the general Cambridge population thought of it all.

It turns out, for the most part, the answer was “not very much”.
