New figures show almost 300 Glasgow Caledonian students have signed up to a popular sugar dating website.
An appeal from the online dating site seekingarrangement.com which is calling for young students to register as the next generation of sugar babies.
According to the site, Glasgow Caledonian University have 295 of their female students using the seedy service.

Upon the release of the statistics Glasgow Caledonian were quick to respond saying: “There are no means of verifying the statistic quoted.”
They also added the University has: “No connection to the company involved.”
The University added: “The university administers a number of student support welfare services and funds to help those facing difficulty.”
Overall, the number of Scottish students currently using the service are as follows.
- University of St Andrews – 368
- Glasgow Caledonian – 295
- University of Glasgow – 178
- University of Edinburgh – 163
- University of Strathclyde – 122
But other Scottish universities have been quick to deny the figures shown by the website.
A spokesperson for the University of St Andrews was quick to respond: “Seekingarrangement.com should be renamed Rippingoffoldmen.com.
“There’s a not a shred of evidence that their claims about Scottish universities and the numbers of students signing up are true.
For everyone who’s wondering what the fuck we’re on about, the site defines it as: “An attractive people looking for the finer things in life.”
Not sure caley students don’t qualify then.
“They appreciate exotic trips and gifts. Sugar babies get to experience a luxurious lifestyle, and meet wealthy people on a regular basis.”
The site aims to put students in contact with sugar daddies, those being the: “Successful men and women who know what they want. Money isn’t an issue, thus they are generous when it comes to supporting a sugar baby.”
