GUCFS Bungee jump takes place this Sunday
It’s raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust
Holly Fergusson, GUCFS Head of Creative is taking part in a bungee jump this Sunday.
This follows her other successful fundraising attempts, such as marathon running, a huge launch party, and a Christmas hamper.
The Tab spoke to Holly Fergusson, who is a fourth year product design engineering student, about her upcoming jump and how this will be helping GUCFS raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Holly is bungee jumping this Sunday.
Why did you decide to do the bungee jump?
I’ve always wanted to do one, and for my 21st my amazing friends got me it as a birthday present.
But I didn’t just want to do it for myself and thought it was a great opportunity to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust as part of the GUCFS year long mission. I’m really excited!
Are you nervous about the jump?
I’m not particularly nervous just now, but maybe it’s all going to hit me right before I jump. I’m sure I’ll love it.
And it makes it so much more exciting that it’s all for an amazing cause.
Do you think it will compare to your fundraising attempts done before this?
We have all been doing a fabulous job all year of raising awareness through both individual projects like this and Romys’ Amsterdam marathon run which raised over £600.
And our team efforts of things like the Christmas hamper and the text to donate number, which raised another £295.
And now all of our team efforts are focused towards our annual show where the bulk of our donation will come from ticket sales, which start on Thursday. We are so excited.”
