Hordes of slobbering puppy impersonators filled the Ocean dancefloor to raise money for charity.

Trent’s Raising and Giving society set out to break the record for the number of people dressed as dogs in Ocean last week to raise money in support of the Nottingham Guide Dogs Association.

Lacrosse, Women’s Rugby, Women’s Football, Boxing and Dance donned furry ears and dog collars and set out for some canine capers in the big O.

The Student Union provided fundraising buckets to societies to collect money during the night and handing it in when they reached the club.

RAG president Sarah Kane said: “The Puppy Love Ocean was a huge success, with lots of clubs getting involved by choosing the theme and taking buckets along the bar crawl. Some societies even waxed a few chests for charity.

“A massive thank you to all the clubs that got involved.”
