Stavros Flat-ley: BNOC ends up flat on his face on stage during Greek dance
And he’s given us an exclusive interview
A well known face around campus came crashing down while trying to dance with Stavros Flatley.
BNOC Akwasi Akoto has an unhealthy obsession with Britain’s Got Talent stars and took to the stage to impress the belly dancers.
In Kasbah last fortnight, Akwasi Akoto was motivated by more than the cheap drinks and attractive Cov Uni students.
Naturally, we had to meet him. He hung his head with shame and intensity as he described the night.
He said: “I have always loved and adored Stavros and Flately. I like that their curves don’t affect their confidence, and ability.
“The night they came to Kasbah my friends didn’t know what was to come. With passion in my eyes. and alcohol in my limbs, I knew my time was now.”
We asked what motivated him so much to join them in dance on stage.
He said: “I can’t describe it. In that moment I knew I had to dance with my idols. Also alcohol helped.”
If you haven’t guessed, he’s a massive fan. To the point where he’s decided he is part of the father-son duo. He said “I have a new Dad now.”
He told us about the moment when they picked him to go on stage, and started to look a bit manic.
He said: “I knew it was my time to shine. I knew my Uni career had been building up to this moment.
“What degree? Fuck the degree. My friends were cheering me on, but it was all a blur as my eyes fixed on the father who told me, through his eyes, you are my boy now. I want you to join us. Be a part of our family.”
“I felt a bit like Kevin Bacon – drunk.”
And what about when he fell?
Akwasi added: “I felt the floor. I felt the cold and wet embrace. I felt the sweat of Stavros and Flatley mingled with my tears.”
He said that it would be his dream to join the team full time.
“All it would take is just an invitation. They already retweeted me on twitter. I’m waiting on the official adoption package. Just that would be needed. And alcohol.”
