The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui
What: This year’s Freshers’ Play. Illustrates Hitler’s ascent to power by following the rise of small-time gangster Arturo Ui as he enters the Chicago vegetable trade. £5 for students.

Nova
What: Yet another Nova night where you’re guaranteed not to have to queue for the bar. They’ve pulled in another huge name with ‘Toyboy and Robin’ – not one to miss, cancel all previous plans.

Christmas Lights Switch On
What: Durham’s Christmas Lights’ switch on, with special guests including Military Wives Choir, Matthew Wolfenden and Natalie Anderson from Emmerdale alongside regular guests CBBC Alex Winters and the Rockin Robin road show.
When: 5.45pm Sunday 24th November.
Where: The Market Place.
Murder Mystery at Durham Castle
What: Classic ‘whodunnit’ promenade theatre production. Guests will be received by Cartwright the Butler to attend Lady Dunelm’s Late Autumn Party.

Where: World Heritage Centre, Durham Castle.
Durham’s Christmas Festival
What: Durham holds an annual Christmas festival with arts and crafts stalls, a local food producers market with over 30 traders and carol services held in the Cathedral. £2.50 entry on Friday and £3.50 on Saturday, you can book your tickets online.
When: Friday 6th – Saturday 7th December.
