One hundred new study spaces are going to be added to the Billy B over Easter

Amber Vernon-PowellDurham University is adding 200 study spaces to the Bill Bryson library to accommodate the relocation of the Stockton campus to Durham City, according to an email sent to all students by Dr. Richard Pears, Academic Liaison, today.
Work is set to begin on 3 April with the arrival of new furniture on levels 3 and 4, and over the Easter holiday 100 desk spaces will be created in anticipation for the start of exam season.
The email stated:
The University Executive Committee has approved plans to provide additional study spaces and catering provision in the Bill Bryson Library. Space within the Bill Bryson Library will be re-organised:
· to create 200 additional study spaces
· the Library Café will be relocated into the eDen space on level 2 to create an additional 100 seats to eat at
· and the CIS Help Desk will be relocated into the existing Library Café space in summer 2018.
However, the Queen's Campus has nearly 1,500 students, amounting to 1,300 more than the number of study spaces added.
