Meet the Models: Durham’s first LGBT+ Fashion Show
Summer is about to get a lot hotter
Tonight, Durham University will show its first ever LGBT+ fashion show in aid of the Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity which aims to provide safe homes, mentoring and support for LGBT+ people who are homeless or live in hostile environments. One in four young people at risk of homelessness identify as LGBT+, and in 2018, 88 per cent of the young people who contacted AKT were placed in safe homes.
With the theme “Uprising” – promoting pride in one’s identity and LGBT+ awareness – the fashion show looks to be a true spectacle, including student drag performers and pole dancers, while the models will be showcasing queer-owned fashion brands.
The countdown is truly on, so why not have a peek at a few of the models who will be gracing the catwalk this evening?
